Lime Plaster | New Build | Basement Reno

Project; To install a traditional 3 coat Lime plaster system over existing masonary foundtion walls, to give a flat polished european style finish.

Description; This was a great opportunity to showcase this material in a space that here in Canada is seldom  touched. Firstly we site mixed our Lime mortar using a blend of moderately hydraulic lime and sand aggregate. Once ready we applied 2 coats with the second being darbied to give a true level to walls. After, they were coated with our fine lime plaster containing a selection of fine aggregate material, enabling a final polishleaving a breath taking marble effect. This particular finish is great as it is without the need for painting, because lime defracts light twice you get a very unique change in tones and textures from the walls as you wander around the room……
