I thought I would share a little news article I recently read from across the pond in the 'old country'. As you may or may not be aware of, Sustainable and Green construction is taking a lead in the UK, with innovative and exciting new ideas. One such idea is the ever growing use of Strawbale construction...with a twist! Take a peek at this article which showcases a 4 story strawbale building made from 14-meter-high prefabricated panels filled with compressed straw--which, wait for it--is from an on-campus field. Talk about low carbon footprint! Goes to show, Strawbale construction is not just for residential projects!
