A Fresh Start in Dundas, Ontario
As we say good-bye to Autumn and enter into another great Canadian Winter we thought we would feature the recently completed exterior pictures from a beautiful home in Dundas, Ontario, as we will be spending the Winter working on interior projects as Mother Nature runs her course. After the need for total removal of the existing failed Lime Stucco system that was attributed to bad landscaping, failed eaves troughs (which left the lime mortar open to erosion), and general neglect over the years, we have finished applying the traditional 3 coat stucco system to this circa 1860's home. As mentioned in a previous blog post, no cement or acrylic were used at all in this restoration...just the traditional means and methods. The client's wanted to match the unique and irregular finish on the home, which you can see was duplicated in the photos below. We've also shown some before and after photos of this great little timber frame home that now ready to take on our harsh Winter and another 150+ years.
